Costco's Launch of Protected

Come have some fun with me at the Bountiful Costco 11-6 today.
I'm also on Susan Kaye Quinn's Blog. Cool
Yesterday, I was Here

I can't wait to hear what you think of Protected.  I'm being told it's better than Watched. Wishes do come true.

P.S. The YA scavenger hunt starts later today....Will you be able to find me?

When was the last time you saw an elephant?

What Makes You Happy?

I've had a ton of things happen lately that make me happy. I thought I'd share.

The first is that all the skin cancer on my forehead is gone. Yahoo. On top of that, my hubby uploaded the pics he took on his iPod to our computer so that I can do a post about it. Are you wearing sunscreen?
Can you guess where it was?
Before surgery pic.

Next, was the movie release of The Hunger Games. I so wanted it to be spectacular and it was. I love it when movie producers stick with the story as closely as possible. I did not, however, like the headache the cinematography gave me.

Also, I am stoked for the movie, The Host. I'm hoping it is as well done, without the shaky camera, as The Hunger Games.

Of course, Protected was released. So freaking amazing.

Finally, the weather has been so amazingly unpredictable. I love that. Here is a pic of a quick blizzard we had last week. Loved it.

Well, now that I uploaded it, it doesn't seem so spectacular...the snow disappeared. Oh well, cool pic anyway.

What things have made you happy the past week?

p.s. YA scavenger hunt starts tomorrow and come see me at the Bountiful,Utah Costco 11-6 Thurs-Sat.
The Launch was a Huge Success!
Boy did we have a fun time at Barnes and Noble yesterday!

They're almost gone!
To all you lucky early birds that got
Ambrosia Bakery's cupcakes...
just how good were they? I missed out-no one saved me one. :(

It was so fun to come
from Murray Barnes and Noble and have some fans waiting for me to come-1/2 hour early, I might add! You rock!
Thank you Rachelle Christensen, Carolyn Frank, Miriam Barton and Valerie Ackley for being my signing buddies!

Here are some pics of the event.
We almost forgot to take any. Duh!
Kendra, Kevin and others

Some random video footage. Wierd

Heidi, Kara, Katie, Julie, Sorensens, others
and Emily

By the time we were supposed to officially start, there was a
packed house
I couldn't believe it. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

It was so great to see everyone I already knew and those new ones that braved the lines just to see what all the hype was about.

We gave out a ton of cool prizes! Kudos to whomever won the $25 iTunes card and the other awesome gift cards. Lucky!

Congrats to all the winners.

Remember, there are still a ton of prizes to be won. Just come enter at the Bountiful Costco this Thurs. 3/29-Sat 3/31.

Thank you all for making this event so successful and fun!
Can't wait for Thurs. Hopefully, I'll have #3 done by then. (the first draft, that is) I might need some cheering on...

Protected Launch Party Tomorrow

You can still enter to win an awesome book HERE on the spring cleaning hop. Good luck!

Oh My Heck! I am so nervous for tomorrow and yet, I'm so excited, too. Click here for the details if you missed them.  It is going to be a great party for the whole family!

This launch has a greater scare factor than Watched's launch because I have real expectations. I didn't know what to expect last time, so I couldn't be disappointed. But wow, did it turn out great. The bar is set high now. Fear of failure is a true and scary thing.

Today is the the day my blog tour officially starts. You'll be able to tour around other people's awesome blogs while learning about me and my books. A new blogger will post something awesome every day, except weekends for over a month. A lot of them are hosting giveaways, too! Celebrating is so fun.

Check out Sumos Sweet Stuff blog today as it is kicked off. You'll enjoy this blog. She always has the coolest stuff on there.

Here's a button if you'd like to slap it into your sidebar on your blog. I'd love that. You can shrink it to fit if you need to.

Welcome to the tour! And if you have a moment to spare, send up a good word for me to not only survive the next two days, but enjoy them, come what may.

Have you ever hoped something would turn out so well that you couldn't sleep in anticipation?

Cover Reveal for Clockwise

Elle Strauss and Clockwise
You can still enter the $10 B&N gift card giveaway HERE (last day) and you can still enter to win an awesome book HERE

You've got to check out this new cover. Does this look like a fun book, or what?
The cover isn't the only thing amazing, the story is too!

Here's what a few have said about the book:

"Readers who 'trip' back in time with Casey will wish they could stay longer in her strangely relatable place." - Kirkus Review
"I loved Clockwise! A great read, and I love your Casey/Cassandra. Congratulations."
 - Wendy Orr, author of Nim's Island
So, what's it all about?

The teaser
A teenage time traveler accidentally takes her secret crush back in time. Awkward.
The blurb
Casey Donovan has issues: hair, height and uncontrollable trips to the 19th century! And now this --she’s accidentally taken Nate Mackenzie, the cutest boy in the school, back in time. Awkward.
Protocol pressures her to tell their 1860 hosts that he is her brother and when Casey finds she has a handsome, wealthy (and unwanted) suitor, something changes in Nate. Are those romantic sparks or is it just “brotherly” protectiveness?
When they return to the present, things go back to the way they were before: Casey parked on the bottom of the rung of the social ladder and Nate perched high on the very the top. Except this time her heart is broken. Plus, her best friend is mad, her parents are split up, and her younger brother gets escorted home by the police. The only thing that could make life worse is if, by some strange twist of fate, she took Nate back to the past again.
Which of course, she does.
You want this book! Go get it at a great price! Buy the ebook

Ack! No fun, but it feels so good when you're done. If you get some audio books to listen to, you'll find yourself not wanting to stop. I suggest Divergent, Pandemonium, The False Princess-all very welll done.

Protected's launch party is this SAT 3/24 from 3-5. Get the low down HERE.

It's unbelievable. I went through my bags that I take to signings and cleaned them out. I found all kinds of stuff that had hidden in the nooks and crannies. It's funny how crumbs can find there way into a bag where no food has ever been.

I made sure I had everything all ready to rock the reading world. I can't wait to see all of you that I already know and meet all my new followers. It will be an afternoon to remember. I can't wait to see your face as you try Ambrosia's cupcakes. They are to die for.

I really don't have any books that I want to give away, but I do have a book that might work for this hop.
Shadow Music by Julie Garwood. Great book.

Caller ID by Rachelle Christensen

What I'm reading now-Caller ID by Rachelle Christensen

Check out the Book Trailer Wow!

Here's the blurb from Amazon:

When twenty-three-year-old Courtney Beckham is abducted near her home, the search turns up more than just a kidnapping crime. FBI agent Jason Edwards investigates the ten-million-dollar ransom and stumbles upon something he wasn't meant to find. When Courtney catches a glimpse of the caller ID in her kidnapper's home, what she sees turns her world upside down.
I know, it makes you want to read it, right? Me, too.

What did I think?

Boy, does Rachelle spin a great tale of suspense. I was never sure what would happen next even though I was constantly trying to guess. I hate it when I can guess what is going to happen next. You'll be on the edge of your seat reading this one!

I thought she developed some really great characters, real and complex. Loved the main character, Courtney and enjoyed seeing her dig deep and making me root for her. I also liked Special Agent Jason Edwards. What a hunk of a man. He can rescue me any time.

Need some suspense and romance wrapped up in a super fun plot? Then Caller ID is for you. Go snag it.

Want the skinny on Rachelle?

Go to her Author Website and  Check her out on Facebook

Intrinsical by Lani Woodland

What I'm reading now Intrinsical by Lani Woodland
And, yes, I have been reading, I've just been falling short on telling you all about it.
I've been getting ready for the release of Protected in a couple of weeks and I'm a
bit behind. But it will be awesome. The newsletter is going out tomorrow to tell you
all about it. Sign-up now (in the sidebar) if you haven't already.
Intrinsical (The Yara Silva Trilogy, #1)
Buy here

Isn't this cover stunning?

You won't want to miss this book. It has this ethereal feel to it that is to die for. You'll fall in love with Yara and the haunted boarding school she attends. Feeling plagued by her family's gift, Yara tries to suppress the Waker gene in her. A Waker, by the way, is someone who sees ghosts. Yes, she can see ghosts. Cool, huh? Unfortunately, it gets her into a lot of trouble as she gets pulled into a curse at the school that is sixty years old.

If you like paranormal fantasy, you'll love this book. Oh, and did I tell you there's a bit of romance that peeks through?

I actually got to meet Lani in Salt Lake City, Utah when she came to support a friend of hers who's book just got released.

Both, of course,  are available on Ebook! I love reading on my Nook. And the prices are so great.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

I'm really excited about this giveaway hop, because I love leaping into new books and trying out new authors. (I also like giving away fun prizes! Easy entry at the bottom of the post for a $10 Amazon gift card) I admit, I choose a lot of books, especially if I buy them for my Nook, if I like their cover. Yep, I judge like that.

However, the last book I read, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, I chose because a lot of people were telling me they loved it. So, I picked it up as an audible book and listened to it. The reader is amazing. Really amazing. I liked the story. I do think it is an adult book masquerading as an young adult (YA) book, however. The main character, Karou, is supposed to be 17, but not once does she act like she is, nor does her love interest, who is also supposedly 17. Good story. Unique and it leaves you wanting more. The cover did nothing for me. But I love the author's hair!
Daughter of Smoke and Bone
The book. The author.
Enter to win a $10.00 Amazon gift card.
It's almost enough to buy the book on Amazon. I believe it's $10.70. or save it to get Protected March 24th. Yep. Less than a month away, Wahoo!
