If you haven't read Donna's first book-A Change of Plans-you should run right out and get it. You'll love it. It's a great adventure love story. It's a big win!! Click here to check it out.
I thought it might be fun to have you check out all the songs Donna listened to while creating both A Change of Plans and her newest novel, Torn Canvas. I think her playlist is pretty fun because she lists the songs according to character and why she chose them. See what you think
ØBecause both Lyn and Braedon played piano, she listened to a lot of the following artists and the songs below are some of her favorites:
· Cristofori’s Dream by David Lanz
· Resta Con Me by Ludovico Einaudi
Anything by The Piano Guys but especially their classical/modern mash-ups like BourneVivaldi, Rockabel’s Canon, etc.
· The Chicken Race by Greg Maroney
· Helen Jane Long
o Lost Wind
Even a hero needs rescuing sometimes

Ø Because Jimmy was all about Power Metal, she liked to listen to YouTube videos from bands like Dark Moor, Sonata Arctica, Night Wish, and Rhapsody of Fire. Some of her favs were Dark Moor’s (love the killer guitar playing):
· In the Heart of the Stone (which is a group Jimmy also liked)
· Vivaldi’s Winter
Ø Jori loved to listen to Lyn and Braedon play, and Jori was also friends with Jimmy, so she would listen to the songs above while writing Jori’s tale. But he was already firmly planted in Finnish Power Metal bands like:
· Sonata Arctica
o My Selene
o Misplaced Lyrics
o Abandoned Pleased Brainwashed Exploited:
o Island of My Heart
o The Dawn
I have to tell you that I know Donna quite well and think she is amazingly talented. She is super fun to be with. I really admire the way she thinks of
others and makes sure everyone feels included.
