So, it finally arrives! I was excited to read this book, but not desperate to read it. I like the slow, unwinding that happens in it. It is a nice by the side of the bed read, but I listened to it, just like I listened to Matched. I just might read the next one instead, slowly, to enjoy the great writing Condie places on the pages. She writes beautifully.

I loved the new kick-butt character, India and wish Cassia was more like her. I hope she plays a larger role in the next book and I am even hoping she and Ky end up together...bad, I know. It's not that I don't like Cassia, but she seems to have faded a bit in this book and looks less and less like the perfect match for Ky. Where is the strong girl we saw emerge in Matched?

Several times I felt like things fell together just a bit too easily, like the rain washing the poison off. Boo. I really wanted something different than I got, but I'm not sure what I wanted.

I did like the twist in the end and am starting to see why Ky dislikes the Rising so much.

I will read the next one, but it better not be a Mockingjay.   Just saying.

Clean, beautiful, easy read. Good for anyone that doesn't mind not having a ton of action.

What I'm reading now, Hallowed by Cynthia Hand arc-copy, Everneath by Brodi Ashton Arc-copy.
